Who must adhere to SB188

The bill applies to:

• Hospitals

• Physicians (MD/DO)

• Medical clinics and outpatient centers

• Physician assistants

• Skilled nursing facilities

* Nurse practitioners

• Intermediate care facilities

• Registered nurses

• Rehabilitation centers

• APRNs

• Surgical centers

•   Dentists and dental hygienists
•   Mental health providers (LMFT, LCSW, LCPC,

• Behavioral health facilities

etc.)

• Group homes and facilities for the dependent

• Any other state licensed health-care

(when licensed)

professional interacting with patient

 

The Nevada Senate and Assembly passed SB 188, and it was signed by Governor Joe Lombardo. This effective start October, 2025. They cannot refuse this service.
